LA Kings Top 5 Plays of the Week - 2/13/17

The LA Kings shutout streak ends at the Panthers with a huge 6-3 win, which supplied plenty of highlights for the week.

by Emily Griganavicius @LAKings / LAKings.com

The LA Kings had 3 shutouts in the past 4 games, but only one of those was a win.

Thankfully, after being outscored 10-0 in 2 consecutive games, on national TV, the Kings showed up to end their road trip the right way in Florida -- with a win while scoring six goals in the first two periods of the game.

So naturally, all the Top 5 Plays of the Week are from the game against the Florida Panthers. Because who would have guessed that it's impossible to find a highlight from a 5-0 loss? Not me, that's for sure. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

5) Pearson Scores Goal Number 4 of 6

Dustin Brown centers the puck and Tanner Pearson is able to tap it into the net.

Pearson was able to hit it off Luongo's pad to score his 16th goal of the season.

4) Jeff Carter being Jeff Carter

While it may not be his prettiest of goals, it was his 29th of the season --
topping his LA Kings career-high of 28 goals in one season.

Don't feel too bad Luongo. It should be almost a pleasure being scored on by Jeff.

3) Forbort's Huge Hit

Derek Forbort emulates a train as he rams into Colton Sceviour.

Just giving us another reason to love hockey.

2) Toffoli's Top-Shelf Goal

Finally, 52 days after his last goal, Tyler Toffoli nets this beautiful one past Reimer.

Gotta love Carter hitting the puck in for a second time, just to be sure it went in.

1) Brown Ends the Shutout Streak

After 121 minutes and 39 seconds of the LA Kings being shutout, Dustin Brown comes to the rescue.

While it may not have been gorgeous,
I can't be the only person that was just glad the guys actually got the puck into the net.
