LA Kings forward Dustin Brown will be honored prior to the Kings-Vegas Golden Knights contest at STAPLES Center on Thursday, December 28, in a special pregame ceremony.
Tonight, Brown will reach the 1,000 games played mark when the Kings host the Colorado Avalanche at 7:30 p.m.
Also happening tonight, the Kings will honor forward Marian Gaborik, who played in his 1,000th NHL game on December 15 in New York, in a special pregame ceremony.

Currently in his 14th season, all with the Kings, Brown, 33, enters tonight's game having recorded 534 points (244-290=534) in 999 career games. He two won a Stanley Cups with the Kings in 2012 and 2014 as the team's captain. In all, he has played in 81 total NHL playoff contests.

Originally selected by the Kings in the first-round (13th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Brown made his debut at the start of the 2003-04 regular season. A native of Ithaca, New York, Brown will become just the second player in Kings history to play his first 1,000 games with the organization, joining Dave Taylor who played in 1,111 with Los Angeles. Taylor, former Kings' General Manager, drafted Brown in 2003.

Brown also becomes the 48th player in NHL history to play his first 1,000 games for one franchise; the 55th player to have played for the Kings and reach the milestone; the 20th player to accomplish the feat in a Kings uniform; the 19th active NHL player to hit the mark; and the 315th player in NHL history to reach the milestone.
Brown is third to Taylor and Luc Robitaille (1,077 games as King) on the all-time Kings games played list. Among Kings, he also ranks eighth all-time in goals, tied for 10th in assists, eighth in points, seventh in power play goals and sixth in game-winning goals.
Tonight's ceremony honoring Gaborik will be broadcast live on FOX Sports West. The game on December 28 will be broadcast on NBCSN.
As part of these tremendous accomplishments Gaborik and Brown will be featured in several upcoming special promotions in-arena between the Kings Care Foundation and LA Kings Game-Used departments including several VIP experiences both tonight and on December 28.
The LA Kings will be giving out a Limited Edition Marian Gaborik 1,000th Game Player Card on December 21, and a Limited Edition Dustin Brown 1,000th Game Cheer Card on December 28 to all fans in attendance.
Tonight's game will be broadcast on FOX Sports West and KABC Radio 790 with pregame shows beginning at 7 p.m.
