The LA Kings announced today that the team has recalled forward Rasmus Kupari from the Ontario Reign, the Kings' primary affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Kupari, 22, has appeared in four games with the LA Kings this season earning an assist (0-1=1) with a plus-1 rating. The 6-2, 200-pound forward has also skated in six contests for the Reign, earning six points (3-3=6) with a plus-5 rating and eight PIM (penalty minutes) to rank tied for second on the club in goals, tied for third in points and fourth in assists and plus-minus rating.

The Kotka, Finland native spent the majority of the 2021-22 season with the Kings, appearing in a career-high 57 games and establishing career marks in goals (5), assists (8), points (13), power-play goals (1), power-play assists (2), shorthanded goals (1) and game-winning goals (1). On April 10, 2022, he became the fifth Kings rookie since 2000 to score a shorthanded goal with his tally against the Minnesota Wild. In parts of three seasons with the Kings, Kupari has recorded 15 points (6-9=15) in 68 career NHL games. In 80 career AHL games with Ontario, Kupari has posted 45 points (22-23=55) with a plus-3 rating and 47 PIM.
The Kings return to game action tonight against the Florida Panthers in the first of a four-game homestand. Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m. PT and will be broadcast on Bally Sports TV and the LA Kings Audio Network on iHeartRadio.
