LA Kings Raise Over $175K at Annual Golf Tournament

On Monday, the LA Kings hosted their annual golf tournament at the Pacific Palms Resort.
With the help of everyone who attended, the tournament raised over $175K for CHLA's Department of Pathology.
Players and participants enjoyed breakfast and practiced their putting in the courtyard before hitting the course for an 11 a.m. shotgun start.

Each foursome included a Kings player, alumni or Hockey Operations Executive.

"Each year we have the opportunity to bring our players, broadcasters and alumni together together with team partners and fans in support of the incredible work of Children's Hospital Los Angeles," said Jen Pope, VP of Community Relations and Kings Care Foundation.
"Through this tournament we are able to support the hospital's Department of Pathology, which now meets close to 100 percent of its blood product needs."

"Super Seth" played in the Kings golf tournament, and it was a rewarding day he'll never forget.
Seth is all too familiar with CHLA and has benefited from their outstanding programs.

Lucky for him, Alec Martinez showed him the ropes on the course.

And even gave him a few tips along the way.

Every few holes along the course had snacks, drinks and prizes.

All participants received a Kings backpack, lots of swag items and a chance to bid on items at a silent auction.

This event marks the unofficial kick-off of the Kings' regular season, which starts at STAPLES Center this Friday against the San Jose Sharks.
