Including the team's Salute to Service Night presented by BELFOR Property Restoration on Saturday, the LA Kings had a weekend of programming in support of Veteran's Day.
To kick things off, on Friday 20 Kings and AEG staff simultaneously installed solar panels on four low-income single family homes with the help of Grid Alternatives. The installation was performed under the guidance of several US Armed Forces Veterans who received job training through Grid's "Solar For Troops" workforce development program.
This G.O.A.L.S. event took place with the support of Blue Shield of California.

That same day, 15 active duty Air Force were invited to watch the Kings practice and tour the locker room. Luc Robitaille participated in a Q&A session and Daryl Evans lead a behind-the-scenes tour.

More than 600 military members and their families were invited to attend the game through the Seats for Soldiers campaign. Of that, six Heroes of the Game (one from each branch of the US Armed Forces as well as a Canadian military member) received a VIP LA Kings experience before being honored in front of 18,000 fans at STAPLES Center.

Additionally, the team hosted 35 expectant military couples to their annual Military Baby Shower at the game. They were treated to a special baby shower complete with a healthy baby chat lead by March of Dimes, a raffle, and gifts from the Kings wives and girlfriends.
