The Kings, as announced yesterday, open the season – their 50th Anniversary -- on the road on October 12 at San Jose beginning at 7:30 p.m.  The Kings return home to play their Season Opener on October 14 versus Philadelphia beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Among the other highlights of the 2016-17 schedule: The Kings host the Ducks at STAPLES Center two times; the Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins visit Los Angeles on November 3 and the Kings go to Pittsburgh on December 16; in December the play nine consecutive games on the road; the Kings play at the new Rogers Place in Edmonton for the first time on December 29; the Kings will host an afternoon game on Martin Luther King Jr. Day on January 16; the Kings play on February 9 and not again until  February 16; the Kings have two seven-game homestands -- one in January and one in March; the regular season concludes on April 9 in Anaheim.

The League’s regular season schedule will pause in late January so the world’s top players can gather in Los Angeles for the 2017 NHL® All-Star Game at STAPLES Center.  The game on January 29 is the highlight of All-Star Weekend (January 28-29) and features the popular NHL All-Star Skills Competition(™) and NHL Fan Fair.

Individual ticket sales information for the 2016-17 season will be released at a later date.  Fans looking to secure an LA Kings ticket package for the 2016-17 season can join the Wait List now with just a $50 deposit per seat, deposits are also being accepted now for Groups of 15 or more and Event Suite rentals.  Call 1.888.KINGS.LA or visit lakings.com/groups for more information.

The Kings expect to sellout every game at STAPLES Center during the 2016-17 season.  The 2015-16 season marked the fifth season in which every home game was a sellout.  Previous “sold out seasons” included 1991-92 (40 games); 2012-13 (24 games/work stoppage); 2013-14 (40 games plus one at Dodger Stadium); and 2014-15 (41 games). The Kings last year also set a per-game record with an average of 18,274 in attendance and a record for most fans in attendance over the course of a season with 749,234. The club has sold out 172 straight regular season games (Dec. 3, 2011 to present), a club record.  Including the playoffs the Kings have sold out 205 straight games (also a club record).
