KLAC AM 570 To Broadcast Kings Playoff Games

by Staff Writer / Los Angeles Kings
LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings’ first round NHL Stanley Cup Playoff series versus the Vancouver Canucks will be broadcast on KLAC AM 570, the Kings announced Monday.

Kings games will be moved to AM 570 from KTLK AM 1150, the Kings’ flagship radio station. Each game will also be broadcast along the Kings Radio Network.

“We are very excited with this news as we will reach a significantly larger coverage zone of Southern California and we will have the very popular and highly-rated Petros and Money Show as our lead-in,” said Kings President, Business Operations Luc Robitaille. “We expect this to be a real shot in the arm for our overall exposure in the marketplace during a time that many Los Angeles sports fans will be interested in the Kings, and we thank our great partners at Clear Channel for making this possible.”

Kings broadcasters Nick Nickson and Daryl Evans will call the action on AM 570. Coverage will begin with the pre-game show 30 minutes prior to the start of the game and Kings Talk, the club’s popular post-game radio show, will also be heard on AM 570 after each home game plus Game 1 from Vancouver.

The Kings are scheduled to practice tomorrow, Tuesday, at 10:45 a.m. at the Toyota Sports Center and at approximately 10 a.m. on Wednesday before departing for Vancouver that afternoon.
