Kings Unable to Match Best Start

by Staff Writer / Los Angeles Kings
Close, but no cigar, Kings winning streak ends at four with LA unable to match the best six-game start in franchise history.
The Kings 4-2 loss at the New York Rangers put a haut to their four-game winning streak and left LA with a 4-2-0 for eight points through six games, unable to match the best start in franchise history of 5-1-0, set twice in 1980-81 and 1992-93.

The eight points is tied for the third highest in franchise history as LA had recorded nine points in six games on five occasions, the last occurring in 1999-00.

Los Angeles has recorded eight points in six games 11 times, the most recent occurring in 2005-06.
