LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings, who are expected to sell out their final regular season home game tonight vs. San Jose, have set all-time franchise attendance records in 2011-12.
Average attendance: Entering tonight the Kings have averaged 18,113 through 38 home dates at STAPLES Center. Note: the first two games in Europe this season counted as Kings “home games” but are not counted in home attendance figures. (The previous record was 18,083 set last season).
Sellouts at STAPLES Center: Entering tonight the Kings have sold out 36 games. (The previous record was 35 set last season). That’s the most sellouts since 1991-92 (40) when the Kings played at the Great Western Forum.
Entering tonight the Kings have sold out 25 straight games at STAPLES Center. (Dec. 3 through April 2). That’s the longest sellout streak since a 27-game streak Dec. 22, 1992 through Oct. 9, 1993.
Entering tonight the Kings have sold out 54 of the last 56 regular season home games at STAPLES Center (Jan. 15, 2011 through April 2, 2012).
Tickets for potential Kings playoff games at STAPLES Center are currently on sale. Fans can guarantee playoff seats by placing a five percent deposit toward a 2012-13 Full Season or Half Season Ticket package. Playoff ticket packages include all potential home games of the playoffs and a maximum of four strips per customer will be available. Private Suites, accommodating groups of 12-132 people, are also now on-sale for each playoff game.
