Kings Recall Moller

Oscar Moller recalled from Manchester.

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have recalled forward Oscar Moller from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced Monday.

Moller, 20, has played in two games with the Kings this season and has recorded zero points. With the Monarchs this season, Moller has recorded a team-high eight goals and 18 points 25 games.

The 5-10, 186-pound native of Stockholm, Sweden, appeared in 40 games for the Kings last season – his rookie year – and recorded 15 points (7-8=15). He led Kings rookies with five power-play goals (10th among NHL rookies). He made his NHL debut Oct. 11, 2008 and became the 15th youngest player to appear in a game for the Kings. Moller also appeared in eight games with Manchester last season, recording five points (2-3=5).

The Kings conclude their three-game homestand tomorrow, Monday, against the Calgary Flames at 7:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on FS West, KTLK AM 1150 and along the Kings Radio Network.
