LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have recalled defenseman Alec Martinez
from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League and have placed defenseman Davis Drewiske
on the injured reserve list (retroactive to January 5), Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced Sunday.
Martinez, 22, has played in three games with the Kings this season, his first in the NHL, and has zero points and zero penalty minutes. The 6-1, 208-pound native of Rochester Hills, Michigan, has also played in 19 games with the Monarchs this season, recording eight points (3-5=8) and six penalty minutes.
Drewiske, 25, suffered an upper body injury on January 4 and has missed the Kings’ last two games. He has played in 38 games this season and the 6-2, 222-pound native of Hudson, Wisconsin, has eight points (1-7=8) and 14 penalty minutes.
