LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Kings have recalled forward Linden Vey from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.
This is Vey’s second re-call of the season. The 22-year-old rookie has appeared in 14 games for the Kings this season (his first in the NHL), recording five points (all assists) and zero penalty minutes.
The 6-0, 189-pound native of Wakaw, Saskatchewan has played in 20 games for the Monarchs this season, recording 22 points (6-16=22), 14 penalty minutes and plus-3 rating. His 16 assists rank second on the club.
Vey was selected by the Kings in the fourth round (96th overall) in the 2009 NHL Draft.
The Kings begin a five-game road trip tonight in St. Louis, with game time from the Scottrade Center slated for 5 p.m. (PT). The game will be broadcast on NBCSN and KEIB AM 1150.
