LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Kings have recalled defenseman Andrew Campbell from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.
The 26-year-old has appeared in 68 games for the Monarchs this season, recording 16 points (3-13=16), 58 penalty minutes and a plus-17 rating.
The 6-4, 206-pound native of Caledonia, Ontario has spent the last six seasons with Manchester. Campbell, who will wear No. 81 with the Kings, hasn’t appeared in an NHL game.
Campbell was selected by the Kings in the third round (74th overall) in the 2008 NHL Draft.
The Kings continue their road trip tonight in Vancouver, with game time from Rogers Arena slated for 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on PRIME Ticket and KEIB AM 1150.
