on the injured reserve list (retroactive to November 16), Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi
Parse, 26, was placed on the injured reserve list with a lower-body injury. In five games this season he has four points (1-3=4), zero penalty minutes and a plus-5 rating. Parse missed the first 11 games this season with a lower-body injury.
The 5-11, 188-pound native of Portage, Michigan, had 24 points (11-13=24) and 22 penalty minutes in 59 regular season games last season (his rookie year) with the Kings. He was tied for 10th among NHL rookies in goals and tied for second among league freshman (first among forwards) with a plus-13 rating.
Parse was originally selected by the Kings in the sixth round (174th overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
The Kings begin a four-game road trip today (Friday) in Buffalo, with game-time slated for 4:30 p.m. (PT). The game will be broadcast on FS West, KTLK 1150 and along the Kings Radio Network. The Kings will play in Boston on Saturday, Ottawa on Monday and Montreal on Wednesday, before returning home Saturday, Nov. 27 to face the Chicago Blackhawks.
