LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings today placed defenseman Aaron Miller on the injured reserve list (retroactive to December 22) due to back spasms, Kings President, Hockey Operations/General Manager Dave Taylor announced.
Miller, 34, left the ice during the first period of the Kings game at Calgary on December 21. He is listed as week-to-week with the injury.
In 36 games with the Kings this season, Miller has five points (all assists), 10 penalty minutes and a plus-5 rating. In 518 career NHL regular season games with the Kings and Colorado Avalanche/Quebec Nordiques, the 6-3, 218-pound native of Buffalo, has 99 points (24-75=99), 313 penalty minutes and a plus-53 rating.
