As part of the plan, the Kings and Digital Royalty will provide a unique insight into L.A. Kings personalities including President, Business Operations/Hockey Hall of Famer Luc Robitaille, the LA Kings Ice Crew and team mascot, Bailey, as well as several other personalities within the organization.
Founded by Amy Martin in 2009, Digital Royalty focuses on strategy development and helps corporate brands, professional sports leagues, teams and athletes build, measure and monetize their digital universe. In addition, Digital Royalty specializes in developing customized education programs, a blend of strategic and tactical social media training.
“We look forward to this new partnership with Digital Royalty and the ability to expand our online presence,” said Jonathan Lowe, Kings Vice President of Marketing. “We have incredible fans and this will be a great opportunity to engage with them and provide an exclusive look into the Kings organization.”
Digital Royalty will work with multiple disciplines within the front office of the Kings organization, including marketing, ticket sales, sponsorship and communications. Leveraging their 1.3 million followers and expertise in the sports industry, the Kings will work closely with Digital Royalty to help deliver exclusive benefits to fans that they normally would not be able to experience, including behind-the-scenes look at the organization, exclusive offers and engagement with team personalities.
Digital Royalty is known for bridging the virtual world with the physical world as demonstrated with the success in building Shaquille O’Neal’s digital brand via social media. Digital Royalty clients include the Chicago White Sox, UFC, O’Neal, Doubletree Hilton, Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Las Vegas and Discount Tire Company to name a few. Most recently, Amy Martin was voted by Forbes as one of the top 20 Best-Branded Women on Twitter. http://lakings.com http://twitter.com/lakingshockey http://www.facebook.com/LAKings
