by Staff Writer / Los Angeles Kings
The Kings practiced today from 9-10 a.m. before departing on a flight to St. Louis, to face the Blues on Friday night and then the Nashville Predators on Saturday and returning home to LA on Sunday morning. The Kings are 0-1-0 on the road this season, having lost the Season Opener at San Jose, 3-1 on Oct. 11.

Kings Practice Report

SULLY BACK ON THE TOP LINE ANY TIME SOON?
For much of last season, Patrick O'Sullivan played on the Kings' top line with Dustin Brown and Anze Kopitar and the trio appeared to click as a unit. However, with O'Sullivan missing most of camp, a revolving door or players were looked at on that top line before Matt Moulson stepped up and won the job at the end of Training Camp.

But, after the first five games of the season, Head Coach Terry Murray has made a switch, bringing in veteran Kyle Calder to play on the Kings top line, as reported here on LAKings.com yesterday.

O'Sullivan has taken a few shifts with Brown and Kopitar in previous games, and as a result, at practice today, the question was asked has there been any thought to putting O'Sullivan back on that top line, permanently?

Murray responded: "It is important to have good balance in your lineup," referring to the even distribution of scoring with O'Sullivan on the Kings' second line with Jarett Stoll and Oscar Moller. "When it is late in a game and you need something to happen, you can maybe make that move."

So stay tuned as O'Sullivan may get some time on the Kings No. 1 line late in games.

As for now, it appears that Murray is happy with the balanced attack that his team poses, having 11 different players tally goals and 14 different players earn at least one point.
