Kings News

by Staff Writer / Los Angeles Kings
Earlier today the Los Angeles Kings lost a dear friend as long-time sportscaster Stu Nahan passed away.

Stu was a Los Angeles sports broadcasting icon, serving 40 years at a number of TV stations including KTLA, KABC and KCBS, and a career in entertainment that featured on-camera roles in all six Rocky movies; Brian’s Song; and a brief – but memorable – turn in Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

Stu also was a hockey enthusiast. A one time minor league goaltender who signed a contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Stu enthusiastically promoted hockey and was a regular attendee at Kings games at the Great Western Forum and STAPLES Center, and this past Fall, Stu was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
