LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings today -- prior to hosting the Kings-Mighty Ducks preseason game at 7:30 p.m. and the Kings-Ducks rookie "Futures" game at 4 p.m. at STAPLES Center – will invite fans to three special practices at the arena beginning at 9 a.m. to highlight a special "Hockey Day in LA," Kings President, Business Operations Shawn Hunter announced today.
As part of Hockey Day in LA, tickets for all regular season 2005-06 Kings home games will go on sale exclusively at the STAPLES Center box office from 9 a.m. – Noon (tickets go on sale on Saturday at TicketMaster beginning at Noon) while Kings players will "work the box office" and distribute sold tickets that morning to fans. All three practices (beginning at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.) at STAPLES Center are free to the public as is parking in Lot 2.
"The Kings have planned what we feel is an exciting day for our fans," said Hunter. "Hockey Day in LA will be a fun and entertaining way for us to help kick off the start to our season."
The following is a breakdown of Hockey Day in LA at STAPLES Center on Saturday, Sept. 17:
9 a.m. – Noon Individual regular season game tickets go on sale at the STAPLES Center box office; tickets "sold" by various Kings players at the window as Kings front office employees, alumni and broadcasters serve donuts and coffee to fans in line
9:00 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. Kings AHL game roster practice – open to the public, free of charge
10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. Kings NHL game roster practice – open to the public, free of charge
11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Kings non-game roster practice – open to the public, free of charge
12:00 Noon Individual game tickets go on sale through TicketMaster
4:00 p.m. Kings-Mighty Ducks rookie "Futures" game – Ticket Required For Entry

All tickets for the Kings-Mighty Ducks games at STAPLES Center were free of charge and distributed in whole on August 13 on a first-come, first-serve basis at the STAPLES Center box office and TicketMaster. There was a limit of two free tickets per customer and no TicketMaster service charge. A valid ticket is good for both Saturday games.
Pricing for Kings individual game tickets at STAPLES Center for the 2005-06 regular season, as announced on July 25, is as follows: Upper corners: $24.50; Upper center: $30.50; 200 Level: $52.50; Lower behind: $65.50; Lower corner: $87.50; and Center Ice: $115.50.
Tickets for the remaining two preseason games at STAPLES Center – Sunday, September 25, versus Phoenix at 7:30 p.m. and Tuesday, September 27, versus San Jose at 7:30 p.m. -- are currently on sale, as are tickets for the Kings "home" preseason game on Saturday, September 24, versus Colorado at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
The Kings begin the 2005-06 regular season on Wednesday, October 5, at Dallas at 5:30 p.m. (PT) with the Kings set to kick off their home schedule with the opener at STAPLES on Thursday, October 6, versus Phoenix at 7:30 p.m. The Kings hit the ice for the first day of Training Camp Tuesday, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Toyota Sports Center.
