Kings goalie Dan Cloutier is today scheduled to undergo hip surgery to repair a torn labrum in Colorado. He is out indefinitely.
Cloutier, 30, has played in 24 games for the Kings this season and has a 6-14-2 record, a 3.98 goals-against-average and a .860 save-percentage. In 342 career regular season NHL games with the Kings, Vancouver, Tampa Bay and the New York Rangers, Cloutier has a record of 137-138-36 (33 ties), a 2.75 goals-against average, a .899 save-percentage and 15 shutouts.
Cloutier was placed on injured reserve (retroactive to Dec. 28) on Nov. 4.
