KINGS DRAFT SELECTIONS SET

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings are scheduled to make up to 15 selections – including the second overall selection in the first round and eight total selections in the first three rounds– during the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, scheduled for June 20-21 at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa.

The first round of the draft will take place on Friday, June 20 with VERSUS providing live coverage of the event starting at 4 p.m. PST. Rounds two through seven of the draft are scheduled for Saturday, June 21 starting at 7 a.m. PST with the NHL Network and NHL.com providing round-by-round coverage.

The Kings will host a special Draft Party for season ticket members and fans at the new NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE in downtown Los Angeles on Friday in conjunction with the first round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. More details for media intending to cover event, which will take place from 3 – 7 p.m. PST, will be provided next week.

The Kings received the 28th overall selection from Dallas on Feb. 27, 2007. On that date, the Kings acquired Dallas’ second round (Oscar Moller) and third round (Bryan Cameron) selections in the 2007 draft and Dallas’ first round selection in the 2008 draft, along with Johan Fransson and Jaroslav Modry, for the Kings’ third round and fourth round selections in the 2007 draft, Mattias Norstrom and Konstantin Pushkarev.

The Kings received the 48th overall selection from Calgary on Jan. 29, 2007. On that date, the Kings acquired Jamie Lundmark, Calgary’s fourth round selection in the 2007 draft (Dwight King) and Calgary’s second round selection in the 2008 draft for Craig Conroy.

The Kings received the 61st overall selection from Detroit on Feb. 26, 2008. On that date, the Kings acquired Detroit’s second round selection in the 2008 draft and Detroit’s fourth round selection in the 2009 draft for Brad Stuart.

The Kings received the 81st overall selection from the New York Rangers on Feb. 5, 2007. On that date, the Kings acquired Marc-Andre Cliche, Jan Marek, Jason Ward and the Rangers’ third round selection in the 2008 draft for Sean Avery and John Seymour.

The Kings received the 88th overall selection from Philadelphia on Feb. 19, 2008. On that date, the Kings acquired Philadelphia’s third round selection in the 2008 draft for Jaroslav Modry.

The Kings received the 92nd overall selection from Tampa Bay on Jan. 20, 2007. On that date, the Kings acquired Tampa Bay’s fourth-round selection in the 2008 draft for Ryan Munce.

The Kings received the 101st overall selection from Vancouver on Feb. 26, 2007. On that date, the Kings acquired Vancouver’s second round selection (previously acquired from Anaheim) in the 2007 draft (Wayne Simmonds) and Vancouver’s fourth round selection in the 2008 draft for Brent Sopel.

The Kings received the 179th overall selection from Dallas on Dec. 10, 2007. On that date, the Kings acquired Dallas’ sixth round selection in the 2008 draft for Evgeny Federov.

The Kings received the 185th overall selection from Anaheim (previously acquired from St. Louis) on Feb. 26, 2008. On that date, the Kings acquired Anaheim’s seventh round selection in the 2008 draft for Jean-Sebastien Aubin.
