Yesterday, Bailey joined campers and volunteers from Wags and Walks Dog Rescue for a special bonding exercise with the animals.
As part of Wags and Walks camp programming, they teach children the importance of having loving interactions with animals.
Today, that included reading "B is for Bailey," the LA Kings children's book, to animals in search of their forever homes.
Kings Care Foundation has partnered with Wags and Walks since the 2016-17 season on the We Are All K-9s dog calendar.
The calendar features images of Kings players and their dogs, as well as adoptable dogs, and the proceeds funded the Learning and Enrichment Center inside their beautiful new adoption facility.
In the Learning and Enrichment Center, families learn about the adoption process and the humane treatment of animals.
"As an organization we support opportunities that enhance the lives of children and families in Los Angeles" said Amanda Apel, Director of Community Relations and Kings Care Foundation.
"For many, the love of an animal companion does just that."
