Kings Camp California / Feiyang Hockey Program

by Staff Writer / Los Angeles Kings

The Kings will be welcoming special guests – youth hockey players from China – to Los Angeles next week as the club hosts Kings Camp California for kids of the Feiyang Hockey Program.

Ages 5-8 the young hockey players are from Shanghai and the camp will be held at the Valencia Ice Station from August 15-20. Among the featured instructors will be former Kings players Derek Armstrong, Matt Johnson, Kyle Calder and Brandon Convery. Last month, Armstrong and Convery participated in a hockey camp in Shanghai.

Kings Camp California will feature five days of hockey skill development including drill circuits, power skating techniques, off-ice conditioning, agility work, small area games and scrimmages against two local hockey teams, The Valencia Jr. Flyers Track 2 Mites and the Ventura Mariners Track 2 Mites.

The Kings’ annual Youth Hockey Camp is taking place this week at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo. Registration for both events is closed.
