The Los Angeles Kings will hold the 23rd Annual Los Angeles Kings Youth Hockey Camp (presented by Toyota) August 5–11 at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo (555 N. Nash Street). The camp is for children ages 5 to 15, and will be hosted by Kings Alumnus and Radio Color Commentator Daryl Evans. Also scheduled to appear as instructors are members of the LA Kings Alumni Association Presented By Toyota, members of the Kings coaching staff and current Kings players (TBA).
The camp begins Sunday, Aug. 5 with an orientation and concludes Saturday, Aug 11. Registration starts at $600 per camper.
Daily sessions run from approximately 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and include two and a half hours of on-ice instruction and one hour of dry-land instruction. All campers will receive a personalized Kings Camp jersey, photo with a current Kings player, camp report card and skills evaluation, a comprehensive Kings Camp DVD and two tickets to a 2012-13 Kings regular season home game. Lunch will be provided Monday through Friday.
“Kings Camp is a marquee event for this organization and the Kings Care Foundation, and it gets better and better every year,” said Evans. “We all look forward to it each summer—seeing the returning campers and meeting the new campers.”
Proceeds from the camp benefit the Kings Care Foundation. For more information contact Lauren Wiedmeier of the Kings Community Relations department at 310.535.4439 or email email@example.com. To register online log onto www.lakings.com/kingscamp.
