The Los Angeles Kings have assigned left wing Jeff Giuliano to the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, Kings President, Hockey Operations/General Manager Dave Taylor announced today.
Giuliano, 26, appeared in four preseason games with the Kings, recording one assist and eight penalty minutes. The 5-9, 205-pound Giuliano is a native of Nashua, New Hampshire.
Today's transaction leaves the Kings with 28 players on their training camp roster (17 forwards, nine defenseman and two goaltenders). The Kings current roster follows/is attached.
The Kings, who concluded preseason play with a 4-3-1 record, today participate in the Bud Light Golf Invitational at the Pacific Palms Conference Resort Club in Industry Hills with all proceeds from today's event benefiting Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.
The Kings are scheduled to practice tomorrow, Tuesday, at 9:30 a.m. at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo before departing for Dallas to open the 2005-06 regular season versus the Pacific Division-rival Stars at 5:30 p.m. (PT). The game will be broadcast on FSN West, KKGO 1260 AM and along the Kings Radio Network.
The Kings kick off their home schedule the following night, Thursday, at STAPLES Center versus the Phoenix Coyotes. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. with that contest broadcast on FSN West, Radio Disney 1110 and along the Kings Radio Network.
