The Los Angeles Kings have assigned forward Andrei Loktionov
to the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.
Loktionov, 20, has played in seven Kings games this season and has two points (1-1=2) and two penalty minutes. He scored his first NHL goal (which was also the game-winner) Oct. 20 vs. Carolina. Loktionov currently ranks seventh among NHL rookies with 3:04 average power play time-on-ice per game. The 5-10, 180 pound native of Voskresensk, Russia was drafted by the Kings in the fifth round (123rd overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
The Kings (8-3-0), most points in the NHL, continue their five-game homestand Thursday against the Tampa Lightning at 7:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on FS West, KTLK 1150 and along the Kings Radio Network. The homestand will also feature the Nashville Predators on Saturday (7 p.m. start), Dallas Stars on Thursday, Nov. 11 (7:30 p.m. start) and New York Islanders on Saturday, Nov. 13 (7:30 p.m. start)
