LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Kings announced today an extensive partnership with Travel Alberta beginning in the 2012-13 season.
“We are proud to have Travel Alberta on board as a significant partner of the Kings for the upcoming season,” said Bill Pedigo, Senior Vice President, Corporate Partnerships for the Kings. “The tourism industry can be as tough as the competition on the ice and we are looking forward to sharing the Alberta story with all of our fans and our partners.”
As part of the new deal, Travel Alberta will become the “Official Travel Destination of the LA Kings” while also receiving in-arena signage, online exposure, in-market activation and sponsorship of LA Kings Holiday Ice at LA LIVE. In addition, the Kings and Alberta will be offering fans an opportunity to discover all that the Canadian province has to offer through an away game travel package that will be announced prior to the start of the 2012-13 season (stay tuned to LAKings.com for details).
“We are so pleased to be partnering with AEG and the LA Kings. Hockey and Alberta are a natural fit. The fan base, properties and venues involved in this partnership puts us right in the target sweet spot of where our customers in California live, work and play. ” said Travel Alberta’s CEO, Bruce Okabe.
The Kings, who have a 2-0 series lead in the Stanley Cup Final, host the New Jersey Devils for Game 3 tonight at STAPLES Center at 5 p.m.
