LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings and Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi today announced the following player transactions: Center Alyn McCauley has been activated to the club's 23-man roster, goaltender Mathieu Garon has been activated from the injured reserve list and goaltender Dan Cloutier has been placed on the injured reserve list due to a lower body injury.

McCauley, 29, has not played a game for the Kings this season. He has been officially listed as a non-roster player after having off-season surgery. A 5-11, 200-pound native of Brockville, Ontario, McCauley last season recorded 26 points (12-14=26) and 30 penalty minutes in 76 regular season games with San Jose. He signed with the Kings as an unrestricted free agent on July 2. In 478 career regular season NHL games with San Jose and Toronto, McCauley has 165 points (68-97=165), 114 penalty minutes and a plus-25 rating.

Garon, 28, was placed on the injured reserve list on December 6 (retroactive to November 29) due to a groin injury. He has missed the club's last 12 games. In 14 games this season, the 6-2, 192-pound native of Chandler, Quebec, has a 5-5-2 record, a 2.65 goals-against-average, a .903 save-percentage and one shutout. In 120 career NHL regular season games with the Kings and Montreal, Garon has a record of 52-51-8 (3 ties), a 2.89 goals-against-average, a .902 save-percentage and nine shutouts.

Cloutier, 30, has played in 24 games for the Kings this season and has a 6-14-2 record, a 3.98 goals-against-average and a .860 save-percentage. In 342 career regular season NHL games with the Kings, Vancouver, Tampa Bay and the New York Rangers, Cloutier has a record of 137-138-36 (33 ties), a 2.75 goals-against average, a .899 save-percentage and 15 shutouts.

The Kings are in Edmonton tonight and take on the Oilers at 6 p.m. (PT). The game will air on KTLK AM 1150 and along the Kings Radio Network.
