The Los Angeles Kings will visit City of Hope, a leading research, treatment and education center for cancer and other life-threatening diseases, where the Kings players and Bailey, the club’s mascot, will distribute gifts to pediatric patients on Tuesday, December 22, from 1:45 – 3:30 p.m. The players will play games, participate in craft activity projects, give autographs and take photos with patients.

The visit marks the kick off to the Kings “Month of Hope,” where the team is dedicating the entire month of January 2010 to support cancer research and treatment at City of Hope. The “Month of Hope” will feature in-arena events and special ticket packages for City of Hope employees, families and friends. The Kings have a long history of individual fundraising campaigns benefiting City of Hope in the past, and decided to kick off the new year with the first ever “Month of Hope.”
THE KINGS AND CITY OF HOPE WILL ALSO BE HOSTING A SPECIAL CELEBRITY GAME ON SATURDAY, JANUARY 2, 2010, FOLLOWING THE KINGS-WASHINGTON CAPITALS GAME AT STAPLES CENTER. SNOOP DOGG AND JEREMY ROENICK WILL BE SERVING AS HONORARY HEAD COACHES. FANS ATTENDING BOTH GAMES ON JAN. 2 CAN MAKE A $10 DONATION TOWARDS WINNING SELECT JERSEYS ‘OFF THE BACKS’ OF PARTICIPATING CELEBRITIES WITH PROCEEDS BENEFITTING CITY OF HOPE.
