LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings and McDonald’s, proud presenting sponsor of the Kings, have announced that Kings forward Anze Kopitar is October’s recipient of the McDonald’s Player of the Month. Kopitar was recognized on the ice at STAPLES Center earlier tonight.
The McDonald’s Player of the Month award, introduced last season, is once again chosen by Kings fans, who can submit their vote through an interactive experience available via LAKings.com, the Kings Facebook page or the Kings mobile app. Fans will receive unique McDonald’s promotional offers for voting and an opportunity to win signed Kings merchandise for sharing their votes. The Kings will update the voting process and results through their TV and radio broadcasts, digital vehicles and in-arena mentions.
Fans can submit their vote by logging on to LAKings.com/playerofthemonth or in the brand new Kings mobile app, which can be downloaded HERE.
The Kings are the first NHL team to feature a Player Of The Month contest where votes are submitted through Facebook, website and a mobile app.

February – Jeff Carter
March – Anze Kopitar
April – Justin Williams
The winner will be presented with the McDonald’s Player Of The Month award on the ice during the first home game of the next month. November’s winner will be announced on Dec. 2, December’s winner will be announced on Jan. 4, January’s winner will be announced on Feb. 1, February’s winner will be announced on March 1 and March’s winner will be announced on April 2. On April 12 the McDonald’s Player of the Year will be announced.
