LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have activated center Jeremy Roenick from the injured reserve list and he is expected to play in tonight's Kings-Phoenix Coyotes game in Phoenix, Kings President, Hockey Operations/General Manager Dave Taylor announced.
Roenick, 36, was placed on the injured reserve list (retroactive to December 20) due to a fractured left finger. He suffered the injury during the second period of the Kings-Vancouver Canucks game in Vancouver on December 19. Roenick has missed the Kings' last 20 games due to the injury.
In 32 games with the Kings this season, Roenick has 13 points (6-7=13) and 28 penalty minutes. In 1,156 career NHL regular season games with the Kings, Philadelphia Flyers, Coyotes and Chicago Blackhawks, the 6-1, 196-pound native of Boston has 1,133 points (481-652=1,133) and 1,373 penalty minutes.
