LOS ANGELES –
The Los Angeles Kings and the club’s official website, LAKings.com, will provide comprehensive coverage of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft starting today, and continuing through the conclusion of the draft, the team announced today. The Kings enter the annual draft – set to take place on Friday, June 24 and Saturday, June 25 at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn. – with six total selections over seven rounds.
Beginning today, LAKings.com will produce daily draft content and Kings Vision – the video home of the Kings – will kick-off four-days of coverage from the host city beginning on Thursday, June 23, with Kings radio color commentator/former Kings left wing Daryl Evans filing reports and conducting interviews with key members of the Kings draft team.
Evans and other members of the Kings organization will also once again be Tweeting directly from the draft, providing followers with behind-the-scenes information. Follow the Kings on Twitter at @lakings

Kings Vision will also be in Las Vegas to cover the 2011 NHL Awards at the Pearl Concert Theater inside the Palms Hotel on Wednesday, June 22. Kings Vision host Heidi Androl will be there to follow Kings captain/right wing Dustin Brown
, a finalist for the NHL Foundation Player Award, given annually to a player in recognition of his charitable and community work. Kings Vision will also provide coverage of Brown’s Pre-NHL Awards Party benefitting the Kings Care Foundation at LAVO Restaurant at the Palazzo on Tuesday, June 21. Also noteworthy, Kings President, Business Operations and Hockey Hall of Fame member Luc Robitaille will attend Wednesday’s awards show and serve as a Presenter.
The first round of the draft begins on Friday, June 24, at 4 p.m. (PT) with VERSUS providing television coverage of the event in the United States. The second round begins on Saturday, June 25, at 8 a.m. (PT) with the NHL Network providing T.V. coverage in the United States.
