The LA Jr Kings are in need of 6 Host Billet Families to house players from our Midget 18AAA, Midget 16AAAA and Bantam AAA teams. If you are interested in learning more about becoming a host family, please contact Billet Coordinator, Barbara Jorgenson at firstname.lastname@example.org
We have parents that are anxious to meet their host families and make plans for the fall.
A large part of having a successful minor hockey program, one that attracts elite players from SoCal and beyond, is having loyal families to house these talented student athletes.
We have signed some of the finest out-of-state players for our Midget 16U & 18U AAA teams to be competitive on this year's national stage. In doing so, we are in need of host families within the area to provide housing for these players.
The players in need at this time come from upstanding families, are conscientious students, respectful, will be leaders and role models in their communities, and will be a great asset in whomever's home is lucky enough to have them.
Responsibilities for host families are to provide a separate room for player (or a shared room for 2 players). To provide nutritious meals including breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with a caring and friendly home atmosphere. Also may include some travel to school and rink.
Please note that once accepted as a host family all family members living in the home that are 18 years old and up will be required to complete the CAHA screening process.
Host families receive a monthly billeting payment for each player. Besides offsetting the expenses a family incurs when hosting a player(s), the compensation acknowledges the invaluable service families provide to the individual player(s) and the LA Jr Kings Hockey Program.
