Jonny Brodzinski made his debut with the LA Kings over the weekend, and his parents and fiancée were on hand to enjoy every second of the momentous occassion.

Mike and Kathy Brodzinski sat down with KSTP-TV in St. Paul, Minnesota to discuss everything from the moment they found out their son was called up by the Kings, to watching him play his first NHL game in person at STAPLES Center.

The 23-year-old forward played 11:03 against the New York Rangers and totaled three shots on goal, including one that nearly resulted in his first NHL goal.

Watching Brodzinski miss is the most painful thing I've seen this week.

Watching Brodzinski's parents watch Brodzinski miss is the most painful thing I've seen this decade.

"When he had his breakway in the second period, I kept saying, 'Oh my gosh, this is it his first NHL goal.' Jonny doesn't miss on breakaways very often. He didn't get it and I thought I was going to have a heart attack," Kathy Brodzinski said in the interview.

"Jonny's fiancée was with me -- she's a nurse -- she said, 'You're not having a heart attack.' So we were all good."

We are all Jonny Brodzinski's mom.
