Inside "Meet the Players"

by Tricia Friedman / LA Kings

Last night, our 2016-'17 roster hit the STAPLES Center ice for the first time for our annual "Meet the Players" event, where Season Ticket Members interacted with our current and alumni players, as well as broadcasters.

As fans waited for our players to arrive, we all watched the Canada vs USA World Cup of Hockey game up on the screens inside the arena, as well as admiring the new sheet of STAPLES Center ice.

For the event, fans were allowed to bring a wide variety of items to be signed, including jerseys, photos, and sticks. Some brought items that were not typical...

Our players - in town for Training Camp, which kicks off soon at our Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo - took time to sign memorabilia and meet our most die-hard fans.

Some of our players had a bit of fun with some Snapchat filters...

Others went to social to give some shoutouts and hellos to our fans near and far.

Nic Dowd made a personalized shout out to fellow Huntsville native, nine-year-old Jacob Brown, who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in April of 2016.

By the end of the evening, the boys and the fans were all ready for the new season. We can't wait to see you all there in the stands! And if you can't make it, we'll see you online.
