"I think in the first game our line was trying to find a little chemistry and, tonight, I think we were better. We had the puck a little bit more.
Norway's a quick, quick team and they know how to play on this ice. They came at us hard right away and we know we have to come ready to play right at puck drop.
Connor was awesome for us tonight, just like last night. He kept us in the game, made some great stops and limited rebounds, so they didn't get too many second chances.
When your season ends early, it's always disappointing, but it's always an honor to come and play for your country and a lot of these guys don't know each other, so it's fun to come here and get to meet new guys and make new friends and have a little fun too.
A 2-0 start is huge for us and builds our confidence up and we just gotta make sure we keep going. Everyone's chipping in now. We just have to make sure we're ready at the drop of the puck.
I didn't get to see Russia play last night, but I heard they're a good team and we know they have a lot of good players. We know we need to have a better start than we did tonight and get back to playing more of our style of game.
A lot of us didn't know what to expect from Norway because we didn't know a whole lot about them, but they've got some great players out there making very good plays, but after the first period we got back into our game a bit better and started baring down on the puck a bit more.
It's tough out here with these international refs because you don't know what they're going to call or what they're not going to call, but we have to make sure we don't take those stick penalties. It kills us out there, wears on our goalie, wears on our penalty killers and we know we have to play more disciplined, especially against Russia."
