#IIHFWorlds Post Game: Anze Kopitar

by Julie Robenhymer / Los Angeles Kings

"Today's game was definitely not disappointed - Yesterday's game was. - but today I felt we didn't a lot of good stuff and we're going to have to build on that and play an even better game on Wednesday.

We expect a hard game against Slovakia. The building is going to be loud. They're going to have a lot of fans here and we're going to have to play our best game if we want to win it.

It's not easy to win hockey games at this tournament. We know that and our backs are up against the wall pretty much every game, but we take pride in these games. we definitely don't want to get blown out of the rink or anything and yesterday's game was not great by any means and was very disappointing. Today, I thought we did some good stuff, some really good stuff and we have to build on that and put together a 60 minute effort.

I like the character and resiliency of this team, even yesterday we were playing very poorly, but we were still very much in the game. We pressed in the end but just came up a little bit short. Today, we showed a lot more and I'm proud of the guys for that. We just have to keep going and getting better as the tournament goes on."
