On March 14, before the LA Kings hosted the Arizona Coyotes at STAPLES Center, the Kings hosted a Women in Sports Networking Event for FOX Sports West.

The Kings put together a panel of women who work for AEG and the Kings organization to speak to the Women of FOX Sports, which included 40 women from FOX Sports West.

The event was opened by Lindsay Amstutz, who serves as Vice President of Marketing and the Assistant General Manager for the three FOX Sports regional networks. After introducing herself and having each attendee do a brief introduction, she passed it along to Daryl Evans to introduce the panelists.

This panel included: Martha Saucedo (Executive Vice President, External Affairs, Community Affairs), Katie Hazelrigg (Account Executive, Ticket Sales and Service LA KINGS), Danielle Edouarde (Vice President, Guest Services & Security, STAPLES Center), Jen Pope (VP of Community Relations and the Kings Care Foundation), Jen Sandstrom (Vice President, Event Services, STAPLES Center), and Christy Castillo Butcher (Vice President, Events and Booking, STAPLES Center & Microsoft Theater).

Jen Pope explained how she has "always enjoyed having the opportunity to talk about what the Kings do in the Community and how [the foundation is able to] fundraise, but I also loved hearing about all of the different jobs at FOX Sports. It was a great group of ladies and I hope we made some new hockey fans with that 11-round shootout."

Katie Hazelrigg said she enjoyed being part of the event.

"It was an honor to not only represent the LA Kings, but also to be among such an impressive group of women, both from Fox Sports and from AEG. I love being a part of such a passionate sports and entertainment community that can come together from all over Los Angeles to collaborate and encourage each other," Hazelrigg said.

These events not only allow these women to grow their professional networks, but they also are able to learn from others' experiences and apply those lessons to their own careers.

"It was so interesting to hear about the different jobs and day to day duties of each of these women, as well as the career paths that led them to where they are today," said Dominique DiDia, marketing manager for the Kings.

Following the event, the attendees spent the rest of the evening watching the Kings take on the Coyotes from the FOX Sports Suite.
