Goalies are usually the ones accused of robbery.
Long before Mathieu Garon took a training camp tryout offer from the Kings in 2013, he played two seasons in Los Angeles where he appeared in 95 games, posting a 44-36-9 record from 2005-’07.
Garon, now retired, came across one of his old Kings’ goalie masks listed for sale on ebay Wednesday:
The seller quickly responded to Garon’s Tweet, clarifying he was not the mask caper, even offering to return it to the former Kings netminder free of charge.
Garon declined the seller’s offer, in fact, countering with a proposition to sign the mask if it would help up the mask’s selling value.
A rare example of when a goalie's the one who gets robbed.
