The Los Angeles Kings fan development department announced on Tuesday that the Kings will host its annual "Chip Shots and Slap Shots," a day of hockey and golf, on Friday, Feb. 15.
Starting at 9:30 a.m. (optional bus from STAPLES at 7:30 a.m.), hit the greens at Robinson Ranch Golf Club for an afternoon golf outing (individual format). Valuable prizes, including Kings tickets, autographed Kings items and personalized Kings jerseys will be awarded for the Best Front 9, Best Back 9, Closest to the Pin anongst other competitions.
Also be on the look out for special appearances from select Kings Alumni.
At 6:15 p.m., return to STAPLES Center (Optional bus from Robinson Ranch Golf Club to STAPLES at 4 p.m.), and enjoy a chalk talk from a Kings coach or broadcaster about that night's game.
Then at 7:30 p.m., watch as Anze Kopitar, Michael Cammalleri, Dustin Brown, Jack Johnson and the rest of the young Los Angeles Kings host Jarome Iginla, Miikka Kirusoff, Dion Phaneuf and the rest of the Calgary Flames in a National Hockey League contest at STAPLES Center.
All of this for just $125 per participant.
Package includes greens fees at Robinson Ranch Golf Club (Greens fees regularly $117), one Kings ticket (regularly $95), a Kings hat, a box lunch and an optional bus to and from STAPLES Center.
