Brian O'Neill dealt to New Jersey, 23-man roster set

by Staff Writer / Los Angeles Kings

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have acquired a conditional seventh-round draft selection from the New Jersey Devils in the 2017 NHL Draft in exchange for forward Brian O’Neill, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

O’Neill, 27, has not played a game for the Kings. He was originally signed by the Kings as a free agent in 2012. Last season he played for the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League (now the Kings ECHL affiliate).

The Kings have also placed forward Dwight King on injured reserve retroactive to Oct. 3 and assigned defensemen Vincent LoVerde and Jamie McBain to Ontario (AHL), as both cleared waivers today. Goaltender J.F. Berube was claimed off waivers by the New York Islanders.
