The NHL announced today that LA Kings forward Adrian Kempe has been named to the Pacific Division roster for the 2022 NHL All-Star Game that will take place on Saturday, February 5, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. In addition, defenseman Drew Doughty will be featured on the "Last Men In" ballot as a candidate to participate as well.
Today's announcement marks the first All-Star Game selection for Kempe, whose goal scoring production has already tied or established NHL career-highs this season. He becomes the sixth different player to represent the Kings at the NHL All-Star Game since 2008.

His 16 goals in 36 games lead the team and already matches his career-best set through 81 games in 2017-18. Additionally, his four game-winning goals are a career-high (3, 2017-18) and lead all Kings players (tied for sixth in the league). His two shorthanded tallies equal his career-best (2019-20) and also lead the team (tied for third in the league). The Kramfors, Sweden native ranks second on the team in points (22) and sits third among team forwards in time on ice per game (18:14). Earlier this season, he posted a career-long six-game point streak (4-3=7) from Oct. 31-Nov. 11.
Doughty, who has represented the Kings at the All-Star Game in five of the last six seasons, is part of the "Last Men In" voting that begins now at

and ends on Jan. 17. The four winners will be announced on Jan. 18.
A five-time NHL All-Star, he currently ranks fourth among all league defensemen in points-per-game (1.06) having tallied 18 points (4-14=18) in 17 games this season. Doughty also leads all team defensemen in goals, assists, points, and powerplay goals while also leading the team in time-on-ice per game (25:13), which ranks ninth overall in the league.
