The Winnipeg Jets Hockey Club, in conjunction with USA Hockey, are pleased to announce that Jets prospect Chase De Leo has been named to USA Hockey’s preliminary roster for the 2015 World Junior Championship.

De Leo, selected by Winnipeg in the fourth round 99th overall in the 2014 NHL Draft, is a native of La Mirada, CA. He is one of 30 players named to the preliminary roster with a chance to represent USA at the 2015 World Junior Championship. The final roster will be named on Dec. 24 prior to the start of the tournament. De Leo is currently second on the WHL’s Portland Winterhawks with 33 points (15G, 18A) through 27 games played. During his draft year in 2013-14, De Leo participated in the CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game on Sept. 26/13 at the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, PA.

De Leo’s teammate and fellow Jets’ prospect, Nic Petan, was named to Hockey Canada’s selection camp roster for the World Junior Championships on Monday, Dec. 1.
