Trimming the Roster

by Kristi Hennessy / Winnipeg Jets

The Jets hit the ice Wednesday morning finally down to one group after five were reassigned Tuesday afternoon, bringing the total number down to 27.

Adam Lowry, Eric O'Dell, Ivan Telegin and Andrew Gordon (pending waivers) will report to St.John's IceCaps while Josh Morrissey will return to his WHL club, the Prince Albert Raiders.

The only player missing from practice was Zach Bogosian who is reported as day-to-day with a few bumps and bruises from the last game against the Oilers on Monday.

In addition to the five most recent reassignments, goaltender Eddie Pasquale was also sent over to St.John's to join the IceCaps....shrinking the number to 26.

The Jets have just two games remaining in pre-season before the face the Edmonton Oilers on October 1st. By that time, the numbers must be down to 23, so Coach Noel and Jets management have a few decisions to make yet.

The last two games are both against the Boston Bruins starting at home Thursday night and Friday night in Saskatoon, SK.
