SAY HELLO TO THE BIG GUY
Logan Stanley will make his NHL debut tonight, paired with veteran defenceman Nathan Beaulieu. The Jets first round pick in 2016 is from Kitchener, Ontario so his first game coming against the Leafs in Toronto is a perfect situation.
"Yesterday Huds (Jets assistant coach Charlie Huddy) kind of hinted at it and I will playing with Beau (Nathan Beaulieu) in practice," said Stanley.
"This morning for morning skate, he told me I was in the lineup. Put a big smile on my face."
Stanley will be the 10th first round pick of the Jets to play at least one NHL game since the team relocated to Winnipeg.

NO LAINE
After his thrilling performance in the Jets opening win of the season, Patrik Laine will not play tonight against the Leafs. He is out of the lineup with an upper-body injury and is day-to-day. Laine's absence will open the door for Jansen Harkins to play his first game of the 2021 campaign, Harkins had seven points (2G-5A) in 29 games last season for the Jets.
LOWRY LINE
Laine may have been getting all the attention for his three point night against the Flames on Thursday. But the Jets best line against Calgary was the Adam Lowry, Andrew Copp and Mason Appleton unit, which helped contain the Flames top scorers and gave Paul Maurice some freedom with his top two lines.
NEW LOOK PP
With Laine out, the Jets power play will look a bit different. On Sunday, the Jets did work on their power play and featured a top unit of Mark Scheifele, Kyle Connor, Blake Wheeler, Paul Stastny and Josh Morrissey.
FIVE IN SEVEN
The Jets are playing their first game in four days but now the schedule gets really heavy with five games in seven days. It will be important for Maurice to be able to roll his four lines in order not to wear out his top players starting tonight against a difficult opponent in the Leafs.
