PERREAULT DOING WELL
Mathieu Perreault has had an interesting season. From being put on waivers to start the year to playing with Adam Lowry and Mason Appleton to succeeding with Nate Thompson and Trevor Lewis on the fourth line. It's no secret Perreault is a guy who can move up and down the lineup and fit in wherever Paul Maurice puts him. He's now on a two-game goal scoring streak - causing turnovers on both goals leading to breakaways. The last time Perreault had a three-game goal scoring streak came back in December of 2018 when he scored in five straight contests.

GOOD RESPONSE
The Jets have traditionally struggled at the Bell Centre in Montreal but Thursday they responded well in two tough situations. The first was after the Canadiens fought back from a two goal deficit in the second to even things at two goals apiece, Winnipeg responded with an excellent third period. The second was after Montreal tied the game up at three with 1:24 left in the game, the Jets came out strong in overtime to win their fifth game this season in the extra frame.
FORBORT APPRECIATED
Jets defenceman Derek Forbort celebrated his 29th birthday on Thursday by blocking a season high 11 shots. Forbort leads the Jets in that department by a wide margin with 55 blocks in 2021, 22 more than the next highest total on the team which is 33 by Josh Morrissey. Forbort's work in a tough department is appreciated by his teammates and his head coach Paul Maurice.
"If you listen to NHL benches, every time somebody blocks a shot everybody is banging their stick on the boards," said Maurice.
"It's a big deal. He's elite at it."
IT'S GOOD TO SCORE FOUR TIMES
Thursday's win marked the 12th time this season the Jets scored four goals in a game, which is tied for second in the NHL. Winnipeg is a perfect 12-0-0 this season when scoring four goals in a game and are the only team of five squads in the NHL to score four goals in a game 10 times and remain undefeated. Winnipeg has outscored their opponents 65-35 in its 15 wins this season.
ARMIA LOVES PLAYING THE JETS
Joel Armia played in Winnipeg for three seasons but since joining the Canadiens he's made his presence felt anytime Montreal goes up against his former team. Armia has four points (3G-1A) in six games and has fired 19 shots on goal in those match-ups.
