Mason Appleton - F - Michigan State (B1G)

Sophomore Mason Appleton had two goals and an assist in Michigan State's 3-2 overtime win against Michigan Tech on Friday. He had an assist on the opening goal of the game, scored the game-tying goal on the power play in the second period and netted the game-winner at 1:22 of overtime, also on the power play. His four-game point streak (3g, 4a) ended in Saturday's 5-1 loss to Michigan Tech. Appleton leads the Spartans in scoring this season with eight points (3g, 5a) in seven games.

Jamie Phillips - G - Tulsa Oilers (ECHL)

Jamie Phillips won all three of his starts last week to run his record to a perfect 9-0 in his first pro season. He stopped 97-of-101 shots for a .960 save percentage in the three games. He was named the first star on Sunday after he stopped all 30 shots to blank the Utah Grizzlies 3-0 for his first pro shutout. Along with his perfect record on the season, he has a 2.08 goals-against average and .933 save percentage.

Michael Spacek - F - Red Deer Rebels (WHL)

Michael Spacek racked up another five points (2g, 3a) in three games last week. He has 22 points (10g, 12a) in 15 games this season, which has him 11th th in the WHL with 1.47 points per game.
