Connor Hellebuyck, G – Manitoba (AHL)

Goaltending has been a bright spot so far this season for the Manitoba Moose. Connor Hellebuyck leads the team with eight games played between the pipes. The second-year AHL keeper has posted 261 saves on 278 shots, good for a .939 save percentage. Hellebuyck’s has helped the team win two games with a 2.12 goals against average. One of Hellebuyck’s wins was a shutout against the Charlotte Checkers on Nov. 7, where he stopped all 30 shots against him.

Mason Appleton, C – Michigan State (Big 10)

Mason Appleton is playing his first season at Michigan State, and already has seven points in his first eight games. Appleton scored in each of the last two games, helping lift the Spartans to two straight wins over New Hampshire. Appleton put up three points (2G, 1A) over the back-to-back games on Nov. 6 and 7. Appleton, who was selected in the sixth round (168th overall) of this year’s NHL Draft, played for the Tri-City Storm of the USHL last season and recorded 40 points (12G, 28A) in 54 games.

Erik Foley, LW – Providence (Hockey East)

Erik Foley and his Providence College Friars are off to a 6-0-1 start so far this season, and are currently ranked first in the country. Foley has played in five games for the Friars and has three points (1G, 2A) to his name. Foley’s first goal of the year came on Oct. 30, when Providence beat Colgate 7-2. Foley was selected by the Jets in the third round (78th overall) of this year’s NHL Draft. Last season the Mansfield, MA native played in the USHL for the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, where he had 54 points (27G, 27A) in 55 games.
