On the loss:
"Yeah definitely physical. It was a tough hard fought battle. We definitely had a chance, being up. I think we got into a little bit of penalty trouble. And that's just something for the next game, we need to make sure to continue to bring that physical battle, but make sure it's between the whistles. And anything extracurricular that we don't need to take or anything, we don't want to give their skilled guys any extra chance like we did."
On falling to the Ducks in game one:
"We ran into a little bit a of penalty trouble. They have skilled players, and you give them a chance, they are going to capitalize. There are going to be somethings that we can take positives out of this game, and there are going to be some things we can work on."
On scoring first playoff goal:
"It's pretty special to score your first goal in the playoffs, and score the first goal for the Jets, but I'd trade that for a win."
On the effort:
"There is not an effort issue in this game tonight. That was a hard played, good battled game. I liked it through two periods, give up a goal to start the period and go back short again at the 16 and a half minute mark that affects the rhythm of the game. And there push was coming, at some point that push is going to come. We didn't get enough pucks to the net in that block of the third period to get some momentum back."
On team's emotions:
"It's quite a bit less devastating than some of those loses we faced two or three weeks ago. We weren't figuring this would be 16 and oh or four and oh, they are a good team. Their first game at home we expect the best out of them. There was a lot more good in our game for us than the final result may dictate."
On his goal that went under review:
"I had a feeling it was in. I eventually asked our assistant coach, and our video guy confirmed it was in. You never know until they announce it."
On the confidence of coming back:
"We’ve done this all year. We keep playing the same way all season. It doesn’t change just because of the playoffs. It doesn’t change. I thought the second half of the second period we started playing our game."
On the game:
"We played steady throughout the game. There were different points in the game where I thought they controlled it, but I thought we did a good job responding. Like most of the year, we just kept playing our game and got rewarded in the end."
On the power play:
"It’s the same thing we’ve been doing the last couple of weeks. We’ve been doing a great job getting pucks and bodies to the net."
Head Coach Bruce Boudreau
On the game:
"I thought it was a really hard game from the drop of the puck to the last second. We haven’t played in a game like that in a long time. There was a lot of hitting. I’m sure a lot of guys on both teams are feeling it tonight. That’s the beginning of potentially seven [games]. We know what we’re up against."
On the physical play:
"When they’re playing physical, we have to match it right away. If you’re playing a skating team that doesn’t want to hit, it’s hard to get involved in that game. They play a physical game and we play a physical game. They’re a big team, we’re a big team. That’s what happens when two big teams meet."
