ST. PAUL, Minnesota - Tuesday morning Jets head coach Paul Maurice was his secretive self about the status of Tyler Myers, saying the defenceman is a game time decision for Game 4.
Should Myers not go, Tucker Poolman could be making his Stanley Cup Playoff debut against the Minnesota Wild. Poolman skated alongside Ben Chiarot during the morning skate at Xcel Energy Center and that meant being surrounded by media following practice.
"Game-time decision," said Poolman when asked about what his role would be for Game 4. "Be ready, I guess."
Chiarot and Poolman have been paired together during the regular season and that should help the rookie calm his nerves.
"I played a good amount of games with Benny," said Poolman. "I'm sure that will be good for me."

Poolman played his college hockey at the University of North Dakota, where his father Mark is the athletic trainer and strength & conditioning coach for the men's hockey program. Mark will be one in the group of friends and family that will be in attendance tonight.
"In the new NHL, regardless of where a player is born - mom, dad, and family get an opportunity to see the game (on television)," said Maurice.
"We've had all young players that have come in, into the playoffs or their first playoff game or inserted into the lineup that bring a set of nerves with them. It's a gate they have to pass through to get to play regularly in the playoffs in the NHL.
"They've all done well. Any kids that come in, we expect that from them."
His teammates certainly believe that Poolman is ready for the challenge, even though the game will be played in unfriendly territory. Blake Wheeler was impressed with how calm Poolman was during his NHL debut back in October in Edmonton.
"We were 0-2 at the time (and) kind of reeling," explained Wheeler. "He stood right in there and did a great job."
Poolman ended up playing 24 games for the Jets this season, recording a goal and an assist to go with two penalty minutes.
"Pooly is a great player," added Josh Morrissey. "He'll play physical, he moves the puck really well, he skates really well. He's a calm guy nothing really seems to phase him so he's ready to play.
"He's done a great job for us this year and I have all the confidence in the world to see him play out there."
